This is a project by Asobi System, a cultural production company home to artists leading Japanese pop culture, to broadcast the unique idol culture that originated in Japan to the world. With the concept of "From Harajuku to the World," we are active with the goal of discovering, nurturing, and producing idols who can be active on the global stage.
About KAWAII LAB.
KAWAII LAB. is a kawaii idol label operated by ASOBISYSTEM Co., Ltd., a major Japanese entertainment company. With its unique worldview and spectacular performances, it has a wide fanbase both in Japan and abroad.
The affiliated artists are spreading Japan's Kawaii culture to the world through activities encompassing music, fashion, and culture, and are gaining high popularity in various Asian countries, including Vietnam.
This KAWAII LAB. Vietnam Audition is an official audition to discover new idol members in Vietnam, and successful candidates will aim for an idol debut under the full support of ASOBISYSTEM.

FAQ
The comprehensive, international-standard training program is expected to last from 6 months to 1 year. The specific duration will be optimized based on the performance skill readiness and the lineup compatibility of the members.
According to the project’s global strategic roadmap, subject to the selection of suitable candidates, the first-generation (Gen 1) girl group of Kawaii Lab Vietnam is expected to aim for a debut around or after 2027, following the completion of the local training program in Vietnam.
The Organizing Committee will discuss the necessary support with each successful applicant after the audition process. Depending on individual circumstances and the training plan, appropriate support—such as accommodation, training-related assistance, or other forms of support—may be provided. Details will be shared with successful applicants at a later stage.
Not required. The project does not require you to know Japanese to apply. The most crucial criterion is that you are fluent and proficient in the native language (Vietnamese) to facilitate communication, performance, and media activities.
Absolutely. The project always welcomes diversity and extends opportunities to foreign applicants, provided that you have good communication skills in Vietnamese and are currently residing legally in Vietnam. This ensures you can participate directly in the in-person interviews and the localized training schedule.
You can continue your school education as usual. The Organizing Committee always prioritizes the academic completion of our applicants. The intensive training schedule will be meticulously planned and arranged during flexible hours or weekends to best fit your timetable, ensuring zero disruption to your current studies.
Yes, but strict confidentiality rules apply. You retain the right to keep and use your personal social media. However, to ensure absolute confidentiality and fairness for the project, participating applicants are not allowed to post, share, or disclose any information, behind-the-scenes footage, or results related to the audition without official written consent from the Organizing Committee.
